Northern Ireland Health Survey
Summary
The Northern Ireland Health
Survey is carried out by Central Survey Unit on behalf of the
Department of
Health Social Services and Public Safety NI. The survey is run
continuously
with the survey year being April to March. The first edition of this
survey was
2010/11.
The survey is designed to provide
a regular source of information on a wide range of health issues
relevant to Northern
Ireland.
The information collected will help develop policies aimed at improving
the
health and wellbeing of the Northern Ireland population.
Addresses are chosen at random
from the Land and Property Services Agency’s (LPSA) list of
domestic addresses.
All the information collected during the interview is confidential and
no one
individual is ever identified from their answers, all
respondent’s answers are
combined to produce statistical summaries of the key issues.
